The Sully County Rooster Rush consists of 215+/- total deeded acres, of which over 136+/- acres FSA considers cropland.
Current cropland acres are planted to Winter Wheat and have a cash lease until 2022 crop year with a ROI rental rate. The primary soils include Mobridge Silt Loam and Ree LoaM. These class II soils have productivity indexes ranging from 85-80 SPI. Highly productive cropland in the area. These productive soils provide for an excellent grain rotation including corn, soybeans, wheat, grain sorghum and sunflowers. This particular area can produce 100-140 per acre bushel corn, with 40-70 bushels/acre of winter or spring wheat, and the most profitable crop of sunflowers which can yield over #2,500.
