Lyman County Farm
Aerial Drone Movie
Lyman County Cropland consists of 314.42 acres of land with just under 288.72 acres of tillable land. This piece of land has a nice drainage, excellent soils, and perfect native&CRP grassland habitat and waterfowl and upland game. Not only can you enjoy years of hunting wild roosters, but also enjoy some return on investment and security of land ownership. There are two total dams in the heart of the property and provides ample cover for the South Dakota pheasant.
Further development with cedar trees along the dams would increase the natural habitat and draw in even more game. Being within 12.2 miles of Presho provides an easy drive after a long day of hunting and the opportunity to enjoy the small town atmosphere. For the farmer it is an easy haul to Presho, Kennebec, or any other elevators on I-90.
This agricultural area has successfully grown wheat, corn, soybeans, sunflowers, millet and grain sorghum. The advancement in no till and grain varieties has allowed for yields for corn to be 120-145 bushel per acre and over 70 bushels per acre for winter wheat in good years. Sunflowers can top over 2000 lbs per acre. If you have wanted to diversify your investment and invest in land , this cropland would be a great ag investment. 19 acres of CRP included.
